The Terry Farrell Firefighters’ Fund is a firefighter charity established by Brian Farrell after the World Trade Center attacks on 9.11.2001.
Terry Farrell was serving with the FDNY on Rescue 4 when he was killed.
Since 2023 Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund GA Chapter has raised $83,400 to facilitate 55 individual/family donations
We remain an all-volunteer fund with chapters across the United States from New York to California.
We operate on an annual administrative budget of 3% or less leaving $.97 of every dollar going right where it belongs….to the first responders and their families.
The Terry Farrell Firefighters’ Fund was established in memory of Terry Farrell (1956–2001), a decorated member of Rescue 4/FDNY and Chief of Dix Hills Volunteer Fire Department. Terry was best known for his altruism, having donated bone marrow in 1993 to save a young girl named Chantyl Peterson, who later attended his funeral. Terry, along with 342 of his brothers, perished on September 11th, 2001 in the World Trade Center attack.
Since establishing The Terry Farrell Firefighters’ Fund, our founder, and Terry’s brother, Brian Farrell, has worked diligently to create a charity that supports firefighters, first responders and their families with educational, medical, and equipment needs. We are a national organization and now have active chapters across the United States.
In the United States, a firefighter is injured every few minutes—and approximately every week, one gives their life in the line of duty. The fund is here to assist the families of those firefighters when the need arises. We support the firefighters who serve our communities.
